A Little Help?

I need some help. I am trying to buy a new computer, but I am having a lot of trouble. I want it to be able to process good graphics, but I also need it to run programs like Word and PowerPoint for schoolwork. I don’t want to pass a budget of one thousand. I’ve heard different things from al lot of people, and I don’t know who to listen to. Please leave a comment below and tell me why you suggested it.

P.S. Don’t even think about suggesting a Mac!

  1. I don’t have a computer suggestion, but what is wrong with a Mac? I love Macs!!! I think they are great. The only problem is switching the Keynote things to PowerPoint and Pages to Word. But, I don’t play computer games, so maybe it’s something about the graphics that are bad on a Mac? Please respond so I know!

    • They are overpriced, for one. A PC can run a lot of programs, and even become a Mac to use its programs. But, if a company doesn’t make a Mac version, there’s nothing you can do about it. People say Macs don’t get viruses, which isn’t true. They are going to become more of a target later on, because they are growing in popularity. There are some of the many reasons I do not want a Mac.

  2. How about a Sony computer? I have a 13″(?) Vaio that works great. You can run all sorts of applications including all of Microsoft Office’s utilities. It’s great for gaming, being portable and powerful. You can hook it up to all sorts of external devices (Monitor, keyboard, speakers, etc…) for quite the home setup. It’s no Alienware but it’s a good all-around computer in my opinion.

    • Iv’e looked at every Vaio I could find. It has everything I want, but I couldn’t find one that wasn’t overpriced.
